We are very grateful for the compassionate, cutting edge, evidence-based care provided by Dr. El Khoury. She is very sharp, and thoughtful in her care and answering of questions. Her nurse Rachel has been very responsive and prompt for refill requests, prior authorizations, and communication. While the medical system has its inefficiencies (and every single medical office has this at times), I think the medical care provided by Austin Kidney Associates (both inpatient and outpatient) has been overall outstanding. I called yesterday and left a message. It stated I would get a call back in 24Hrs. I did not receive a call back within 24Hrs. I was also told they would review my medical records within 2 days. They have had my medical records for 6 business days. Again, I still have not received a call.
