In May of 2001 I was in a serious car accident and as a passenger I shattered my pelvic bone. Dr. White was the angel that made me walk again. He put 15 screws and 2 metal plates in my right hip to reconstruct the pelvic bone and give my femur a socket again. Other than a hairline fracture in a foot bone when I was eight-years-old, I had never before broken a bone. And other than two nights in a hospital giving birth to my two children, I had never before been hospitalized.
