Service has gone down hill under new owner.
Dropped the bike of in MAY for a safety inspection and basic servicing. I informed the shop that I needed the bike ASAP as I was moving to CA in a month. I was told NLT 1 week turnaround. 3 days later the mechanic laid the bike down. Repairs took 2 1/2 months. I now had to fly back from CA to NC to retrieve the bike and pay to have it transported. When I started the bike, it had a fuel leak. Took 2 hours for the repair and I had to cancel 2 appointments due to this. When I finally got the bike again, I made it maybe a 1/2 a ... read more
I just wanted to publicly post a big THANK YOU! I arrived at the dealership this past Friday morning with a flat rear tire on the way to work. (Supposedly it was fixed at another HD dealership located in Smithfield, but the tire still had metal in it which again damaged the tube). Sam was the first to greet me when I arrived, and I was telling him about my tire and that I had already bought a new tire and was told by the other place it didn't need to be replaced. I can't say enough good things about Tobacco Road H-D and their staff. My bike had a rough week as I dropped it off for the ABS recall. During the recall procedure my ABS module failed. I was super upset when I got the call because it put a trip I've had planned for almost a year in serious jeopardy. Mark Hendrix and his staff in the service department got the part overnighted to the shop and got it installed as well as performed a safety check on the bike which resulted in them finding a nail in my rear tire before I got on... read more
