We are a basement bistro and have been open since 1991 serving German, American and Mexican fare. Many of our recipes were created in our first business, The Oak House in 1988. We are a scratch kitchen and are a mom & pop business. Come on down

Great breakfast! Make sure and try the delicious beignets! Very different from the ones I've had before and very good! They also have a yummy smoked salmon dish. Great breakfast place!
Cozy, old world atmosphere, friendly service, great German food as well as selections from American, French, and Tex-Mex cuisine. For a taste of old Fredericksburg, it's one-of-a-kind, and worth the wait.
underground jewel of fredericksburg – The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired, but the food is really, really good. Service a bit sluggish at times, but a really nice place to eat dinner overall.
