Food good and device, but price is bad. About 5 or 6 months ago, I came in for a little late pick me up White chocolate mocha (4 ounces) and paid $7. I looked up at the menu/ price board and saw the prices were all actually wiped off the board. Today expecting to pay more, hoping by now things had adjusted reasonably, I ordered a16oz white chocolate mocha and an egg wrap $20 plus change. The menu/ price board still has no prices, all wiped blank.
I stopped by this spot in Mount Vernon for a coffee, and while I didn't try the food, the selection looked solid. They also offer wine, which adds a nice touch to the place. The atmosphere is fantastic—warm, inviting, and well-maintained. It can get a bit busy, but the staff is friendly, quick, and efficient. It's great till you drink the coffee...scone was delightful!!! Coffee was bitter, runny, thin. No Coffee flavor!!! No chocolate taste!!! It's a miss for me!
Ristretto is one of my favorite places to be. I live nearby and come here to work frequently. The staff is wonderful, the espresso drinks are the best you can get in town, and it’s an overall great place to focus or just hang out. My one issue is the prices - whoa! They went up in the past 6mo or so, and while I used to go multiple times a week, now it’s maybe a multiple times a month. It would be helpful if they put their prices back on their board-then I could get an idea of what is cheaper and hopefully come more often!
