THESE GUYS SUCK! We have been contracted with Rasmussen Landscaping for snow removal this 2008-2009 winter. The first one or two storms they didn't come, then after calling them they came but might as well stayed home. They did a very poor job plowing and never salted and as a result my 9 month pregnant wife slipped on the ice and fell. I have called 3 times prior to my wife slipping to tell them they need to do a better job and nothing has changed. Save your money and find another company.
Not Worth It The problem with this company is that they send out multiple workers (even where not needed) and charge for each hour for each employee, including travel time, so it is extremely expensive. And they fail to send out any bill with any sort of detail. You are just supposed to accept the charges without any substantiation. I had Rasmussen mulch my flower beds (which other companies had done with one or two workers in a few hours for around $250), but Rasmussen charged over $600. A job well done I hired Rasmussen Landscapes to clear some vegetation out of my yard this past spring, and the workers they sent did a wonderful job. They worked very hard, and the quality of work was excellent. They also laid some weed fabric and some gravel down for me, and my yard looks beautiful.
Answer to Previous Posting I am the owner of Rasmussen Landscapes in Salt Lake City. I read the review of Mr. Jake S about our snow service. We have never actually had a customer named Jake S. that I know of and looking back on any concerns our actual customers, I have not been able to find anything that resembles his concern from any other customer. Absolutely Horrible! This is one shady company. They practice lawn care like a auto repair shop that charges you hundreds of dollars for no reason. I received a bill for $350 for cleaning up pine needles?? I agreed to $26 a week and yard clean is advertised as part of the regular service. The customer service outshines the yard work in terms of terribleness. I was never notified that I would be receiving these insane charges. Still disputing. Do you self a favor and just buy a lawn mower.
Horrible This is the most dishonest company I have ever worked with. Buyer beware if you are getting any service beyond lawn mowing. They will show up without quoting you, perform unauthorized work and then pursue you for payment. They ignore requests for quotes (purposefully, no doubt, to get those customers who are too afraid to speak up), they perform unauthorized work, they say they'll provide evidence of services provided but somehow always fail to actually have the evidence, they leave harassing voice mails...no fraudu... read more
Landscaper This company came in a bit high on the quote but were thorough. We gave them the chance to prove value and they really did.
Wonderful!! I have had Rasmussen Landscapes do my yard for a few years now. They do a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone. I have never seen 3 guys work so hard! I love not having to worry about doing it myself. They take care of everything!!
Horrible Live in the Avenues, never plowed. Called over and over and they said they can't do anything about it. I am on a list and they will get to me when they get to me. Only came once, at midnight. I had to plow my driveway everytime. I told them there is no point in having them. I use my driveway at 8 am and 6 pm, and I don't use it at midnight. They never come and don't make exceptions if you have an emergency. I told them I had an emergency and they basically told me tough luck.
