As an Indonesian, I'm picky about nasi padang — and Rasa Rasa serves the best I've had in the US. The beef rendang is fall-apart tender and deeply spiced. The Padang combo ($29) comes loaded: rendang, crispy fried chicken, sambal egg, kerupuk, greens, anchovies with peanuts. The sweet martabak ($8, chocolate & cheese) with condensed milk and whipped cream is worth the trip alone. Delicious vegan options! Tofu tex, braised greens, and garlic chips are all delicious. Grateful to work so close by. 💚
Dry. The meat texture was old and reheated. The egg was old, very old and reheated. The service was awkward. He told us to use the table menu to order and then because the place was empty that he would put our order in and then he asked us again about the table menu so when I put the order in on the table menu, he was confused. The automatic 18% gratuity with the 15% gratuity I gave made $86 for two plates and a Coke.
Delicious food and very welcoming and friendly people working there. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try great Indonesian food!
