Durham's/RTP's Finest Pizza – This is thin crust heaven, plus fantastic calzones and stromboli's. I've eaten many times at the MLK location, but finally there is a place in RTP with good pizza (on Miami Blvd just south of I-40, on the left). Pizza is the perfect fast, cheap lunch, but until now, there was really no decent options near Nortel. And this place is excellent. The owners are right there every day, making sure the food is good and their customes are happy. Plus, they deliver.
Good NY Style – Randy's has some of the best Pizza in the Southwest Durham area, real NY style. If you're looking for real pizza instead of the ususal franchise crud, this is the place. They have great specials on Monday's.
awesome – The Randy's Pizza on Hope Valley Rd (same owner) is much better than the one on MLK, but both are pretty damn good. Closest to home (NY) pizza that I've had in this culture lacking town.
Best Pizza in the Triangle – Simply the best pizza in the triangle. Of course, yes, pizza around here is generally pretty bad, so that might not say much. However, this pizza is very good, by any standard.
A slice of New York – Step out of Durham and into Brooklyn. This is streetsmart pizza which knows the importance is in the sauce and the dough. The pies are so big, you have to fold the slices to eat them. This is the closest thing to New York pizza south of Staten Island.
New York, New York – As a Yankee transplanted to the splendid South, it was not long after the move that I realized that culture is limited and sometimes non-existent here. I was turned on to Randy's Pizza in Durham by a co-worker and since haven't felt so at home since. No other pizza parlor in the Triangle so closely replicates the quality of the pizza found at Randy's. I have yet to try other menu items but if they follow the authenticity of the Pizza then well, i think i'm in for a treat.
Great hole in the wall. – Best New York style pizza in the Triangle! Reminds me of the hole in the wall pizza parlors in NYC.
