I am a prostate cancer survivor with a great deal of post-surgical nerve damage. I went to Brazoria County Pain Center and paid $250.00 for an initial visit and initial drug test. I told them I was a SELF PAY customer and "do NOT file this on my insurance" even though though they asked for my insurance info "in case they need it in the future". I was referred to Dr. Randhawa from my PCP for chronic low back pain. The facility was clean and my wait time was a bit long but that is expected for an initial visit. I was asked to produce a urine specimen also. Dr. Randhawa was cordial and knowledgeable. He did explain to me that i will need further testing so he can see what is exactly causing my pain. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival he was immediately was asking questions as to why I came to see him. As if driving less than 30 miles in the Houston area is far. He appeared extremely suspicious of where I was from and who have I seen for my protruding disc. Then proceeds to tell me that "my issue is not that bad". His assessment was lackluster and don't even think of asking for narcotic pain pills when you're I need obvious pain. He will try to make you feel like an idiot. I will not be seeing him again.

I've been a patient since 1998--had the injections, then Medtronic pump installed to control pain..Pump refills are about every two months, tho I sometimtes need injections in sciatic joint or in knee, but those are limited. I find he is thorough in describing what needs to go on.When my internal catheter acted up (it was 13 yrs old!) he knew exactly what my new symptoms indicated, verified with X-ray and MRI before surgery to replace. Staff is friendly.
