I had a total detachment of the retina and he was able to restore my vision. It will never be exactly the same because of the damage that was incurred during the detachment over a prolonged period of time, but it is totally functional vision (no blurriness, good clarity, can see full range of colors). NEPA is very fortunate to have this medical professional.
Had some issues last year, when having my cataracts removed. Apparently part of the cataract fell off during surgery and I had to immediately have surgery to remove the piece. Doctor Peairs was wonderful, explained the upcoming surgery scheduled for the next day, kept me calm and positive. I am highly v recommending him!
I had surgery for a detached retina. Dr. Peairs and the entire team have been wonderful through the whole process!
They don’t know how to do proper anesthesia or even bother to flush the eye out after an injection. When I complained of pain, all they did was have people forceably hold my head. Mentioned a possible side effect & that I was going to check w/manufacturer-all he was concerned about was how much paperwork that would cause him. Was going to refer me to a place 100’s of miles away. My endocrinologist said there was one locally-I went there & found out everything they were doing wrong (proper way to do drops/bell & also that eye... read more
The man is awesome. He’s helped my vision due to poor diabetes. It has improved in the last 4 years of me going to him. Before Covid the waiting room would be like a casino- people everywhere- cause he’s the best. Sure he may not have time to talk to you for several minutes about why your vehicle is leaking oil or why your walker is falling apart- he’s got a lot of people to see. If you do what he says- you’ll be in good shape. ??
The man is a beast. He coughed constantly into his mask as he hovered over me. He had me lay on a table , put his knee on my chest while opening my eye with one hand . His other hand held the laser instrument using it on my eye. He then blamed me for blinking. He and his assistant finally sat me up and performed the laser surgery as it should have been from the start. He may know his field , but has shown not to be capable of delivering care in a proper manner.
I visited this doctor twice for Eylea injections related to treatment for CRVO. These injections, administrated properly are painless, On the first visit some pain was encountered. On the second visit I expressed my concern and asked to be assured enough anesthetic was being applied. While waiting for the doctor anesthetic was applied six times. When Dr Peairs finally arrived he seemed to be rushed, quickly rifled thru the papers in my file and proceeded to the injection. The injection was very painful and I was literally sc... read more
This Dr. saved my eye. I don’t care anything about bad reviews or bed side manners. He is a professional. I had a detached retina and he told me straight out that he is not God. I said do the best that you can. Guess what I can see.
Extremely rude and unprofessional. The worst! Go somewhere else! Never have I been treated so poorly by a medical professional.
