In April 2017 I hired Rand Street Construction to upfit my basement. Rand Street later became Rand Street Professional Builders, Inc. The work was satisfactory however by November 2017 work was not finished. By then I had paid (Est $46,000) over $10,000 above initial contact which included payment for a HVAC system which I never received. I took over project and hired contractors to finish basement work and install HVAC system. Took Rand Street Professional Builders, Inc to court and was awarded $2,600.00 Oct 1, 2019 by Stat... read more

The contractor and project manager, Cleveland McCrae, did not complete the repairs that the engineer required for the project to pass inspection by code enforcement. He kept delaying the repairs for over a year which caused the permit to expire. I even tried to get him to participate in mediation. He told the mediator that he would give three dates that he could complete the repairs but he never did. I discovered that the address that he has listed on his website is a UPS Store. He only has a mailbox there. In my opinion, Cl... read more

I don't know how to word this...but this is why, why I like Cleveland. Cleveland tends to have older tradesmen, who know their stuff, who bring younger assistants and oversee their work to make sure it comes out beautiful. Which, it does. And he trains them to do the kind of level of stuff he does. It puts back into the community....people learn the trade, and not only do it get a great product, but I get training put back into the community too. (That didn't cost me anything.) It's just plain beautiful. He did a great wall.... read more
