Our large family gathered at Rancho Alegre for the Christmas holiday this past season and our stay was everything and more than we hoped for. The house is an amazing step back in time with antique furnishings and all the modern convenience we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we loved gathering around the table in front of the fireplace for meals. Beyond all, one couldn’t ask for a better on site host and manager than Rex. Loved our stay at Rancho Alegre Lodge! Location was great, easy to get downtown but felt like we were out on our own. The lodge had such a homey feel to it, so restful and loved the fact chickens & goats would welcome us home when we rolled in. Can’t say enough good things about Rex. He was great, always ready to help with any questions we had, very very helpful. LOVED the fresh eggs!
This lodge is fantastic and unique for the area! Rex was wonderful and very attentive. The views and animals made it so special. Fresh eggs were a huge bonus! The location is so central to town and ski areas.
What a great week at Rancho Alegre! We vacationed with 6 other couples and found the home to be charming and comfortable. Kitchen was nicely stocked for cooking which we did several times. Rex was the BEST, attentive and accommodating without being overbearing. We enjoyed the farm fresh eggs and visiting with the ranch animals daily, watching sunsets over the mountains by the fire and even had a group of Elk visit in a nearby field! We enjoyed being so close to town as well. Would 100% rebook this stay!
Wonderful property, tons of character and space. We were a dozen men on an annual ski trip. The trip has been ongoing for four decades - this was at the very top of the list of the group’s favorite places. Service, communication, everything was perfect.
