We stayed at Rancho Alegre with close friends during our wedding celebration this summer, and we could not recommend it more highly. Pictures don't do this property justice - you have to experience the history, love, and detail of this gem in person to truly appreciate its magic. Our stay at Rancho Alegre was beyond expectations. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the adorable goats to the beautiful sunsets around the bonfire, it was magical. We were a very large group but Rex and his family were well prepared for us. There were lots of kids in our group and the plentiful games, pool table and hot tub kept them well entertained. Our large family gathered at Rancho Alegre for the Christmas holiday this past season and our stay was everything and more than we hoped for. The house is an amazing step back in time with antique furnishings and all the modern convenience we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and we loved gathering around the table in front of the fireplace for meals. Beyond all, one couldn’t ask for a better on site host and manager than Rex. Loved our stay at Rancho Alegre Lodge! Location was great, easy to get downtown but felt like we were out on our own. The lodge had such a homey feel to it, so restful and loved the fact chickens & goats would welcome us home when we rolled in. Can’t say enough good things about Rex. He was great, always ready to help with any questions we had, very very helpful. LOVED the fresh eggs!
This lodge is fantastic and unique for the area! Rex was wonderful and very attentive. The views and animals made it so special. Fresh eggs were a huge bonus! The location is so central to town and ski areas.
