Dr.Amar Ranawat is a super surgeon! Genius! My mother just recently had total knee replacement. I wish we did it earlier when we met Dr. Ranawat first time two years ago. He said she needs surgery. But she tried to live without a surgery. The main reason my mother didn’t want surgery was that she saw others in a daycare she attend who did such surgery and they were not happy. Dr. Anil Ranawat and his entire staff at HSS are at a minimum ROCK STARS. A brilliant orthopedic surgeon who prefers to avoid surgery if at all possible. I met him 10 years ago, when I was experiencing profound hip pain and extreme difficulty in walking. Many other doctors were baffled by my symptoms... one even suggested, "Let's try two hip surgeries and see if that works"! What?!? Dr. Ranawat took one look at me and said, there's something else going on here. 4 doctors later I ended up being diagnosed with a rare syndrome.... read more
