The Ramada Hotel in Pelham, AL appears to be recently renovated, and was a pleasant stay to shower, sleep, and re-surge on our way from Gulf Shores to Tennessee. Be mindful, there are two floors of rooms, and no elevator. The staff was very friendly, pool was quaint, and room was comfy. The Dove Brand toiletries were a bonus!
Showed up at 1:30 AM after 14 hours of driving and the clerk couldn't even be bothered to say hello to my husband and I. I asked if they had any rooms available and I got an imperceptible head nod so I asked again. Finally he said yes, but never said what was available, the cost of a room - literally zero customer service whatsoever. His words were credit card and ID, and 1 bed or 2, and he walked away to run the card. I was so annoyed, I looked at my husband and we decided immediately we would not be staying.
