I had a non refundable, no cancellations reservation this weekend but they allowed me to cancel anyways because of the forest fires smoke and I really appreciate it.
Madison the front desk staff was so helpful. My wife and I were just passing through on the harley. She recommended the best local eatery, even for me a box fan for my room after a long day of riding the upper peninsula. Only downside was the homeless shelter across the street and a person who decided that sitting on my Harley was ok.
The rooms are old, not updated, and damp. Carpet feels sticky. Not impressed. The staff were friendly.
The only reason I gave a 4 for service was due to limited interaction. Room was clean and provided ample size for two adults. Nice channel selection and wifi was good. One thing I would say, for less noise get a room not on the pool side. Location is awesome Walking distance to everything in town, and just down the hill is the lake. Nice way to get steps in and explore all Marquette has to offer.
This is a hard review for me because I was born and raised in Marquette, have gone to the Ramada many times over the last 20 years. We stayed there last year and I had some thoughts about our experience then but figured I’d give it another try so we did. I won’t ever stay here again. I want to say the staff is amazing, friendly and helpful so has nothing to do with service! The hotel has not been touched since it’s been built.
