This is older property with a little bit of wear and tear, but the staff are wonderful, the prices are brilliant and the location is excellent. My wife and I had a delightful stay and intend to come back again.
On the holiday of a lifetime we arrived into Cairns around midnight for a 1 night stay here. According to our travel agent booking our room was supposed to be a deluxe family room. The hotel is a dump and falling apart. It resembles a 1960's horror movie motel. A 2* backpackers hostel would sum up this place. I fail to understand why anyone can post a good review about this hotel. We will certainly be informing our travel agent back in the UK they should not be booking this hotel. Friendly budget hotel. Accommodation adequate
I was disappointed with the accommodation. The building is in desperate need of maintenance. Rotten wood, wild plants growing from the building cracks and the painting of the exterior. Our room was not soundproofed, nor did it have blackout curtains. If you are unable to receive the wifi signal in your room, I suggest you try their other wifi signal.
