Wanted to try this restaurant because I pass it often. Ordered a bento combo and what for me is often the signature dish - the pad thai. Got the take out packaged all carefully wrapped, but when I got home discovered the missing pad thai. Unfortunately, it would have been 20 minutes to go back. Rama Thai Kitchen If you like Thai you need to check out this place. Went here a couple times with my girlfriend and we can't get enough of it. I really enjoy the ginger chicken and the portions you get are pretty large at a fair price.
No thanks to the Thai food, but Japanese food pretty good. – The only thing I like here is the Tiger roll. Most of the Japanese cuisine is good, but stay away from the Thai food. The Thai food is non-authentic and salty, and the service leaves much to be desired. I had previously dined here a couple of years back and the food then was great, but ever since the cook/owner changed, the food has not been the same since. Definitely a 2/5 stars for not up to standard food and bad service.

Best Thai Food in the Chicago Northshore! – This is the best Thai food I have had anywhere in Chicago! Fabulous Spring Rolls, Delectable Curries, wonderful Pad Thai! Also, a truly gorgeous presentation of every single dish. The portions are generous. The service is extremely courteous. All in all a truly wonderful experience. We have dined in and also carried out. Both were wonderful experiences. Thanks to a great chef and a wonderful staff.
Much needed addition to the Asian selection of restaurants in the Glenview/Northbrook area – Rama Thai Kitchen offers truly authentic Thai food. Spicy really means spicy here. Nothing on their menu is americanized. If it is in season, the mango with sweet rice is a great dessert. Parking lot available and easy to get to location. Great portions for a reasonable price. Staff is usually knowledgable on entrees and has good suggestions.
A freshing change to Glenview – I went to this place based on a friends recommendation. I was a bit skeptical at first because the place is sometimes not very busy, but the food is outstanding!! The seafood is fresh and the Pad Thai is probably the best Ive ever eaten, including Thailand. I drove by the other day and saw that they just started a lunch buffet, so I have to try that next. Best Red Curry In Town – Rama Thai Kitchen is a great place both for couples and families to enjoy a great meal. It offers everything from friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, authentic Thai decor, to great tasting variety of authentic Thai food. Highly recommended to people that love great food. Oh, and did I mention the cost? Its the best deal in all of Glenview.
