DONT ORDER ANY SASHIMI. Had a reservation and was really excited to try the food. Most of the food was decent, but the sashimi salad was a letdown. The salmon was clearly frozen—ice cold, hard, and completely ruined the dish. When we raised the issue, the response was underwhelming; the only solution offered was to remake the salad without the salmon, which didn’t really address the problem. We ended up canceling it. Pretty disappointing, especially for a place known for Japanese food at this price point.
Tried the $150 tasting course and unfortunately the food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. Best bites were the house made tofu, beef filet skewer and pork cheek skewer. I also quite enjoyed the braised eggplant. Service felt quite off. Very nice restroom though Very low chance I’d want to come back, but if I do, it’d be a la carte only, and primarily for the skewers
We walked into the restaurant today and they said we need a reservation somehow. There were at least four unoccupied table when we walked in. Maybe because I am Chinese? She recognizes my language as my girlfriend asked me to check out the restaurant next door, since there is another BBQ place and we wanted to make sure we walked into the right one. probably my demeanor pissed off the waitress maybe?
