I absolutely love Dr Rugwani and his staff. He explains everything well and is very thorough. The reason for the 4 star rating is there have been some times I felt the wait was a bit long. This could be because the office often has to work in patients due to emergencies. This could also be evidence of his expertise.
I was 9 years old when I had a piece of metal in my eye that RUSTED! Dr. Rugwani made the removal procedure the best possible experience. I continued to see him for all eye care needs until I became an adult and moved away. He called me his "brave 9 year old" until I was 17. I am now 32 years old and still think of him and how much he genuinely cared about my well-being. He always made me laugh and smile. I wish I lived closer so he could still be my eye doctor. My first visit started out wrong because my insurance wasn't verified so I rescheduled and the second visit went well. The tech/ nurse that assisted me was great. And the doctor took his time and explained what my next appointment. The third visit didn't go well. I have been getting glaucoma tests for years. The results I got from the tech I could understand to the doctor coming in telling me something different. His answer wasn't clear nor did he explain what he saw in layman term.
