Recently, I was awakened by a knock at my front door. It was John, the maintenance/repair man for Hickory Creek. He informed me that my back yard was flooded due to a separation in a pipe underneath my home. I was upset and did not know what to do to fix it. All I could do was burst into tears. John became my "Angel Sent from Above"! He helped me by turning off my water and fixing the piping on the same day. He did it from his heart which totally melted mine. My brother, his fiancée and I moved from Georgia to Gainesville on February 2, 2025, and we toured Palms of Archer the same week. The community showed us a brand‑new, 2025‑model three‑bedroom, two‑bath mobile home that seemed fairly priced. The initial quote was $1,589 per month with a move‑in date of February 18. We paid the deposit and the prorated rent, signed the lease, and were then told the rent had been bumped to $1,789. Worst place I’ve ever lived at, and just recently moved in! Nothing was completed that should’ve been fixed from the previous tenants, even though they pressured you to sign the lease so you don’t lose the money you already put down, they nickel and dime tenants, without notice or email or even any flyers on your door, if I could give this place zero stars, I most certainly would! I can't tell you enough to stay as far away from this crooked/unprofessional company. After 2 months of playing games with my family, now we are owed back a refund and Mackenzie thinks only giving me back 1/2 is AFTER I have a saved voicemail where she clearly states how much she is going to refund me.
