Very shady business practice. Sends out a postcard that they were unable to contact me by phone or home visit. That's because they never tried. Very fine print at the bottoms says that they are NOT with the city or county water authority. No one with less than better than perfect eyesight could read that. There is no identifying information on the card. I don't know what they sell, but no one should buy it.
Shady Sales Practices – I've not used any of Rainsoft's products and can't comment on their performance or lack thereof. But, I did have a run in with them a couple of years ago when I was renting a house. I had been in Home Depot where I agreed to have one of their reps come demonstrate their system in exchange for a Home Depot gift card. Great Company – My experience with RainSoft was excellent. The system does everything the salesman said it would. The installers were professional. I would recommend this system to everyone.
Can not trust – I bought the water system and finance through the company. They did not inform me that I would have a lien put on my house. They they take forever to take it off. I paid them off in November 2010 and I am still hasseling with them to remove the lien. They keep saying call us back in a month. Each month the same thing. It is a very horrible company to do business with and they are not very honest. I would not recommend the water system either. It is not worth the $5000.
Bunch of crooks – Pushy sales came to my home thanks to me entering a pretend contest at home depot. Told us the system could be financed but a week later, I get a home depot credit card in the mail.I thought my identity had been stolen. Guess who opened it? rainsoft. Owner says they do it all the time. Told them I didn't trust the company and want them to pick up their system. Owner said no, then said he would do it for about $1000. Don't Do It!!!! – This system has been a mistake. Make sure you get everything in writing. Installation was a nightmare with installer having to make 3 trips and didn't finish until 3 a.m. Problem with the system 6 months later and found it was installed improperly (fancy that) and had not been functioning properly the whole time. Salesman told us that if we moved, the system would be moved for free. Well, we're moving and now they want to charge $175 to move it.
