Do not waste your time or money here. This was a disgusting place food wise and service. My husband and I took our two sons, their spouses, and three young granddaughters to the Clark St., Chicago, location on June 19, 2015. This was mid-afternoon on a Friday. We were all tired and hungry and ready for a decent meal. The restaurant was not overly busy. They were not using the downstairs area at all. We ordered sandwiches. After ordering, we settled in to wait for our food. And we waited and waited. When it finally came, most... read more
Great place of you like food that certainly comes frozen off a truck from elsewhere. The food was truly abysmal. No effort at all.
Cool Place to Eat in Chicago – I go here every so often just to change it up. I think the place is pretty cool. People say its a tourist trap, but this is the kind of thing that makes the city great. Most cities do not have cool themed restaurants like this. They have it done up like a rainforest, like you're in the jungle and there are animals everywhere. The price is a little higher, but the service is great and seeing the rain in the restaurant and lighting storms is very cool. Thumbs up.
Great for kids When I go here it's usually for my kids. The only thing on the menu that I like is their pasta's and drink menu. The kid's will be is so much awe that you need not worry about ordering them much to eat. They do have great drink selections..both alcohol and non-alcohol.
decent food - fun atmosphere Many locals will discount the thought of going to Rainforest Cafe, as it truly is often loaded with tourists. Don't let it pass you by, as the food is quite good, with large portions.
Food and fun Forget about the food at the place the atmosphere is great! The low lighting makes the animals all around and on the ceiling look real. The best part is that about every 10 mins or so, the animals move and make sounds, the lights flicker like lightening and you hear thunder. It is a really fun place to be.
Always great food with fantastic scenery This restaurant never dissapoints. I went on a late Sunday night so there was no waiting and it was not crowded.
A different place to eat! I like the Rainforest Cafe because you get lost in the experience. When you enter you feel like you just stepped into a real jungle. The food is great too they served large portions so you are bound to leave full. Also try their strawberry lemonade its great!
Loud I would not reccommend this place at all. Not even for tourists. It's way too expensive and the food was not good. It was hard to enjoy the meal because there was so much noise and commotion going on. If you like the rainforest feel, it could be a fun place but it was not for me. It was dark and much too loud.
