The worst experience of my life as well as my dog. The handling of my dog was with no concern or compassion. She was extremely stressed out by the ordeal. 4 vaccines were given, one I didn’t want. Toy breeds should not get leptospirosis vaccines unless at great risk. My dog was not at risk. Anaphylactic shock was the result and she had to be hospitalized at a different animal hospital. This hospital is over the edge on cost. New to the area from Northern VA after retiring from teaching Veterinary Nursing for 31 years as a Licensed Vet Tech I was extremely uncomfortable, my first visit with two dogs for well check and vaccines was well over $500. In addition, my dogs had never received a Lepto Vaccine so was given that to return in 3 weeks for the booster. After paying $55 for lifetime vaccines per dog, the return visit was still going to cost over $90 for an office visit just to booster each dog! I asked w... read more
