Service was friendly but slow, gumbo had excellent flavor, but was lacking in shrimp or seafood
The catfish and hobo fries were very good for lunch. Except for wait staff being a little hit and miss if you know what I mean. And not refilling my glass with tea all the way each time. Every time I come to Corpus I make it a point to come for lunch or dinner here.
Goid food, good service. The grilled flounder was incredible!
Seafood gumbo that has almost all sausage with a little fish and a half of a small shrimp is not seafood gumbo. As for the vegetable of the day - if you tell me that it's squash, zucchini, and carrots then that should be what comes out. Not the above mixed with shredded cabbage. And the tilapia ponchatrain that is advertised to have a sauce of mushrooms and shrimp should have that and not just mushrooms. Good food and great beer!!! ! This establishment was able to accommodate my party of nine (9) without having made prior reservations. Excellent service!!!
Chicken Fried Steak was perfect. Crispy crust & meat was tender. Salad was fresh.. My 1st time there & definitely not my last... THANK U 2 THE WAITER ALSO.... GREAT STAFF
The waiter had a tiny bit of trouble getting a couple of orders mixed up; otherwise, the food was amazing and the drinks were awesome as well! Will always go back! It's now one of my groups' faves!
