Always rushes with patients, he will be in and out in less than 2 minutes. Heaven forbid you need an actual medical diagnosis, as he is likely to drop you as a patient when things get difficult to diagnose. Also somewhat combative during visits, and tended to downplay or outright ignore symptoms as described. Ended up in the ER, where the doctor there gave me a diagnosis that should have been caught weeks or months earlier.
Dr Athalye is an excellent doctor he is a people doctor. You can talk to. I have never had a problem making appointments. He always takes care of prescriptions right away.
the best doctor I have seen in over 10 years, he listens to me and explains everything to me so I feel better about it, I don't like being talked to in medical terms, Dr. Athalye will explain everything to me so I can understand what I need to and take care of the problem. I would recommend him to family and friends.
In general I rate Dr. Athalye as a good PHP. He is attentive and appears to have a grasp of current trends in family medicine. He responds appropriately to patients comments and concerns. For the most part his medical assistants are courteous, knowledgeable and considerate. He is respected among his peers. I have recommended Dr. Athalye to others.
