Dr. Pourmand has the old school bedside manner you want in a doctor. When I first met him, he made me feel like I was a patient for years. He’s very attentive and compassionate and gives you all of the details you need to know about your condition. He’s direct and to the point. My visit was a second opinion, and in conversation about my rare autoimmune disease, he even extended himself to me in the future to work with my doctors and/or if I wanted to go under his care. I was trying to explain to the Doctor what was going on with me, but the doctor did not give me much feedback. I am getting an MRI for my back and something for my legs, but he didn’t explain any reasons why I have pain in my legs he said I was Ok. He was not very personable, I like to talk to my Doctor about the reasons why I’m there and get some feedback Which I really didn’t get .. hopefully next visit will be better.
My first meeting with Dr Pourmand was excellent! He meticulously went over my previous records from SC and talked about my current diagnosis.
Doctor explained that I could still have some pain but it should be lessened with the increase of gabapentin. There are other medications but more side effects.
