I have been a patient of Dr. Salamat's for over 5 years and cannot praise her enough. Not only has she followed my sleep apnea closely, but during the Covid pandemic I reached out to her by email several times as I feared coming down with the virus and not having an MD. Dr Salamat replied immediately to my emails and assured me she would handle the case should I need assistance. I come from the old school (age 73) where I don't expect answers from MD's. I have been a patient of Dr. Salamat (VMG Respiratory and Pulmonary Medicine - Ridgewood) for several years. She is a highly experienced, talented and thorough. I would strongly recommend her
Very rude and condescending. Did not explain my sleep study results in any detail. When I asked a question, she did not reply in detail just a few word answers. When I questioned her, she made a face at me like I was a stupid. Hopefully any other interaction that I have to have with her will be through the Valley portal, which in itself, is a joke
A wonderful doctor who spent her time answering all my questions and continues to follow up when needed. Her knowledge and care were reassuring as my need for this expertise was new and emergent to me and I was glad she was knowledgeable and did not leave our appointment(s) until she was sure all my questions were answered (and understood). Explained all my test results, shared her computer screen and educated me on all the findings.
Waited an hour because receptionist failed to check me in. Dr was beyond rude and I will be reporting her. Questioned me about medical issues 10 years ago but would not address the current issue or the fact that 3 other doctors had recommended I get a sleep study. She said I was lying as they would have prescribed it if it was needed. I asked if the other doctors could write a a prescription for me to do it there 5 times. 5 times no answer. Dr. Salamat is extremely knowledgeable in her field and is up to date on the latest treatments for sleep apnea. I feel very comfortable meeting with Dr. Salamat knowing she has my best interests at heart. She has a wonderful beside manner as well.
Very rushed did not listen to patient office staff clueless
