Thank you to all those who wrote in of their negative experience at Rags To Riches consignment shop. I was going to take my beaded New Year's Eve evening gown there, but after reading all the comments on the lack of customer service and unprofessionalism there, I won't go there. Several angry women cannot be wrong! Thank you dear ladies for sparing me from a big heartache. Oh, and one good litigation case will get them to change the way they do business or close the business for good.

My review is the same as below so I'll make this short and sweet...my step daughter put a dress on consignment, over a year went by heard nothing...I called because she no longer lived in Michigan due to being military and the owner claimed she had no record of the dress. I found it on the rack because it's literally one of a kind plus the hand done alterations her mother had done the day of prom and owner denied this and told me too bad. SELLERS BEWARE !!! The owner Tina is a scam artist thief and a liar! I've but two dresses on consignment back in 2012 and I have been following up with her ever since. Well one day after calling in to check to see if my dresses have been sold Tina claimed she tried to call me multiple times & never got through. I then asked her to tell me the number she has & of course she lied and told me a number not even close to mine! BUYER BEWARE!!! This shop should have a zero rating. They are very unprofessional in their business ethic. I am a business owner and as a business owner the objective to a successful business is to do whatever it takes to make that client happy. This business ethics are to just sell it and forget it. When it comes to a wedding dress, this business should of put their brains before money! That is what a genuine business owner would do!!! A friend of mine put a deposit down on a dress she really liked. Owner promised she would get the stain out and after numerous visits the stsin was still there. They waited months for her dress. Still nothing got done. Now the lady is recanting on her. She trusted her word. She didnt think she needed to get thisnin writing. A good business person would have went out of their way to accommodate. If she tried to get the stsin out and couldnt she could have called and at least let her know.

Drove up there twice today and they were closed. They are supposed to open at 10am on Tuesdays. How are you supposed to run a business if you are not open during your business hours? Don't go here.

I find it extremely difficult to try and find a dress when the online hours are different than the store hours. I came from 50 minutes away to find a dress, being told from the website that it opened at 10, to find they didn't open until 12 that day. I went to a different store, came back at 12:15 and the store was still not open. I come back the next day and they were close for lunch I'm assuming. Again, I drive 50 minutes just to show up to a closed store.

I went to pick up my dresses and I knew exactly which ones they were and after depositing $300 dollars the month before. And because I didn't have a paper they wouldn't give me them. They have horrible organization and people skills. You would think that they would be more kind since I drove an hour to get the dress.

I took all of my prom/homecoming dresses (6 total) to this store to sell on consignment back in 2009 when I graduated. I never heard anything from these people after that. I called and they would say that they had no "record" of me or my dresses. Horrible customer service experience all the way around.
