Very personable and took time to explain procedure. Seven months later, upper thigh has areas of numbness and I need to walk a bit pigeon toed on surgical leg to keep discomfort at a minimum. My knee hurts which I didn't have prior to hip replacement. Lastly, its impossible to bring knee to chest because it's way too painful. I did go to PT and walk daily. All in all, I would think a new hip joint would be as good or better than real one. But it's not.
Dr. Walker Santiago performed a complex total hip replacement for me on June 21. I had met with a couple other orthopedic surgeons before I met Dr Santiago and didn’t feel comfortable with either of them. Upon my first meeting with Dr. Walker Santiago, I knew he was the surgeon I wanted. He took over 40 min to talk to me and answer my questions and assure me he was comfortable doing my complex surgery. Post surgery, I am healing more and more each day. Personable, Professional and very competent. He did my hip replacement in April 2021 and I am ecstatic. He did such a fine job I have to remind myself I have artificial hip
