He promised the world, did surgery on my face on November 18. The reason I did it was because I hated the wrinkles around my mouth. He did a facelift and a fat transfer. The recovery was horrible. My face was painful and 3 months later. Within three weeks after surgery all the wrinkles came back. The pictures today look the same as the morning I went in before surgery. My mom went there for Melanoma surgery. He got her in for surgery very quickly. Everything seemed to go well, and seemed efficient, courteous, and professional. All signs so far (months later) are that the surgery was successful. No problems reported
When I first consulted Dr. Cabrera years ago, he told me to come back in 5 years! Who does that? Only a plastic surgeon with ethics and a realistic sense of how the surgery will affect the patient in the future. He has raves from me and from those who've taken my advice and had him do their surgery!
Dr. Cabrera altered my face on May 13th 2020 and I look terrible. He filled my checks and now I have hard uneven lumps on my face. I look so awful and don't look anything like my old self before this painful surgery. I waited to write a review hoping my face would get better but every year it has become more distorted and lumpy. OMG what a mess I have to live with. Heartbroken and embarrassed to ever be photographed! OMG What this man did to my face is unbearable!!
I would definitely NOT recommend Dr. Rafael Cabrera for any plastic surgery procedure. I went for a simple repair of Mohs surgery and was left with an unsightly scar. His attitude at follow up was dismissive, uncaring and unprofessional.
Trust your doctor cares about you, he does. Know that they will take the time to explain the procedure, he does. Feel assured that he is skilled in all various protocols for the results you desire, he does. The office staff are polite, patient, skilled in the ancillary contributions to insure you are attended as needed. I recommend that you owe yourself, at a minimum, to visit and evaluate before you chose another surgeon. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Cabrera is not a “cosmetic” surgeon. He is a surgeon alright. The reason I am saying that he is not a “cosmetic” is because Dr. Cabrera left the shape of my breast with a boxy and very flat shape after a breast reduction surgery. Dr. Cabrera left the scars sitting high almost in the middle of the breast instead in the fold of the breast. The nipples are not centered.
