I find Beltran to be extremely professional in all aspects. He listens intently and we have been working together for over 2 years. I am MUCH improved and he has an invested interest to make sure I am still on the correct path for me. He tweaks it and tries new things to constantly to ensure this. I am self pay and it is 100% affordable.

I have not seen Dr. Beltran as a patient, but had the distinct privilege of asking him to joining my healthcare practice, BayCare Behavioral Health Centers when Dr. Beltran first came to Tampa Bay. Dr. Beltran was fair, but his staff was very unhelpful. I have a local health agency that will cover the high co-pays, but the office would not lift a finger to see about that, wanting me to do all the work. How can I, not feeling well- and why should I?? VERY unhelpful.

Dr Beltran not only makes you wait a minimum of 2 hours beyond your scheduled appointment time, he regularly makes racially charged remarks, pushes his religion on you, and belittles others.

I was interrupted, belittled and blatantly judged based on my appearance and cause of trauma. I left his office more traumatized than when I arrived. If you are not qualified to treat specific types of trauma, or if you are uncomfortable with how someone looks or lives their life... then Speak Up instead of dismissing your own inabilities while further complicating a patient's recovery. Wish I known he would discriminate his patients based on his religious beliefs. GROSSLY UNETHICAL PRACTICE.

I put Dr. Beltran on a pedestal--to my peril. He violated my trust in him in so many ways: (1) virtually insisting that I attend his church; (2) speaking with me by telephone every month for two years after I left Florida, even though I had another psychiatrist; (3) telling me NOT to go to my father when he lay dying alone even though he was just one short airplane ride away; and (4) abandoning me when I "disobeyed" him. Like so many others, I was unduly influenced by Dr. Beltran's charisma.

Dr. Beltran treats our son and does an amazing job. Sometimes there is a long wait in the waiting room but since he never rushes his patients, that is understandable. I would not change a thing about our son's care.
