Had an 8oz fillet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, coleslaw and vegetable soup with calamari to start. Honestly nothing jumped out saying that this was a high end steak house. Save your money and go to the Keg
Showed up we didn’t make a reservation but we just moved here from B.C. I was excited to try out the place because my wife grew up in Winnipeg and had said it was a great place. When we arrived we were told they were busy but could squeeze us in the lounge which was okay. There were 3 servers arguing who was going to take our table. I've been here a few times over the years, most recently in September 2026. It's obviously a longstanding and well-known Winnipeg restaurant, but my overall impression is that the experience may have been stronger decades ago, as some other reviewers have mentioned. Parts of the restaurant feel somewhat rundown, particularly the carpeting. Even walking in, the coat check area had what appeared to be a number of extra chairs awkwardly stored inside, which didn't make the best first impression. Overall this place deserves a very strong 4stars. Caesar salad dressing could use a little help. The sirloin steak also needed some help. Our server Danielle deserves 6 stars, great host, friendly smile and great customer service 🫡
