I would recommend Rachel Mcdermott if you are SERIOUS about changing, stick with it and are willing to put in the effort needed to get results!!! She may not always tell you what you want to hear, but she sure does hit the nail on the head every time! The process was tough, for sure, but don't give up! If you stick with it and do the work, it will pay off in the long run!
My husband and I attended couples therapy with Ms. McDermott for several months. It was only with the her help that we were able to get a realistic grasp on our relationship and parenting styles. Our marriage was on very rocky terrian before visiting her, so it was no surprise that we concluded that ending our marriage was in everyones best interest. I am sooooooo glad I went to see Ms. Mc Dermott! I have been SUFFERING with depression for so long, and she taught me so many tools! My depression is completely gone and I am no longer taking ANY medications! I only see her once a month to check in and she thinks I don't even need counseling any more, but I really like her and don't want to stop seeing her! My Daughter and I started seeing Rachel McDermott LMFT Last summer. She is a wonderful therapist to deal with. She is everything you would want in a family counselor. She takes the time to listen and understand your situation. She takes what she does very seriously and is there to help you through the situation that you come to her with, the way a counselor should be. She's not one of those therapists that just sits there while you talk. She gave me real things to do that worked. She was by far the most helpful counselor I have been to.
