Dr. Dawson takes the easiest path available to her. She says she can't prescribe pain meds for my chronic pain, but she did once, but I guess that was a fluke. She doesn't care a whit for her patients and if you want a compassionate, caring physician, stay far, far away.
Dr. Dawson took time to hear my concerns and addressed them as needed. She listens well, as shown by her meticulous notes that I can read on MyChart. She prescribes medicines when needed or may suggest another solution.
I told Dr.Dawson that I do not think I have covid because I have not been exposed to anyone with it. She then looked at me and said well you do not live in a bubble so you are always exposed. Ok I let her smart remark go because I am there in pain and not feeling 100%. She then says how do you think your respiratory virus is tied to your cycle. I had a terrible experience with her. An MD I worked with told me I needed to get an inflamed mole checked out. She took a cursory look and refused to examine it. I had to go to a dermatologist who immediately removed and biopsied it. She also told me that my neurological disorder which was already diagnosed by a neurologist was not a problem and my profound fatigue issues were from being "out of shape," a ridiculously wrong assertion. I have seen Dr Dawson well over 20 years, and I've always appreciated her patience, and willingness to explain things to me. If she doesn't know the answer, she has great specialists to which I have been referred.
Dr. Dawson has been my primary care physician for more than twenty years. You can't any better than she.
Dr. Dawson is very thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable. She spends the time needed to go over any health care concerns and treatments without rushing. She considers my preferences yet keeps me up to date on current treatments and what is best for my individual health needs. I thoroughly recommend her!
