I absolutely love Dr. Rachel Calyx, she is kind, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen. I have nothing but positive things to say about her care. That said, access to her has been incredibly frustrating. This seems to be more of a systemic issue with Ochsner Health rather than a reflection of Dr. Calyx. The doctors at Ochsner Health are excellent, but the system makes it very difficult to be seen when it really matters. Dr Calix was knowledgeable and professional. She explained my condition with drawings comparing vessel clearance. She spent adequate time with me, answering my questions honestly and thoroughly. It was apparent that she prepared for my visit as she knew about my history. She showed concern and compassion throughout the visit. I highly recommended her and Ochsner Ophthalmology Clinic.
