Bad PCP. She has horrible “bed-side” manner, rude and belittling.
She is kind compassionate and cares for her patients. She has nothing to do with billing information so whatever cost you get take it up with the BILLER. cough last commenter. Do people not understand how insurance works?
She is a horrible, stuck-up, well-to-do doctor that doesn't care for her healthy patients that have a long past medical history. My daughter and I are gladly looking for a better doctor elsewhere. Even with our excellent covered insurance, she codes what she wants, so that her patients have to pay OUTRAGEOUS prices out-of-pocket. Don't go here! You'll owe her so much money that you can't afford for just 5 or 10 minutes of her time to talk with you at your healthy physical.

On 6/28/17, Dr. Rachael Monroe signed off on a physical for me to have a left hip replacement. She quickly listened to my heart, and did not order an EKG. This had catastrophic results for me. I was 56 at the time. On 7/12/17, I had the surgery as planned. Two days later I went to the ER for chest pain. All was non-conclusive. Soon after I was having frequent chest pain, dizzy spells, and a fainting spell. By June 1, 1918 I had moved from Richmond to Radford, VA. My OBGYN-NP listened to my heart CAREFULLY and heard a murmur.... read more
Dr Monroe is knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate.
I really hate going to the doctor but I'm of the age where it's becoming a necessity to obtain regular medical care. Dr. Monroe makes this experience pleasant. She is thorough, she listens and even encourages me to take steps needed to best manage my health
