Delicious drinks – This is the hippest sushi place i've been to and i'm going to have to give them 5 stars despite the sometimes slow service. It's a really chill and freidnly atmosphere and everyone just gets loose. Their sushi is superb and they just revamped their drink menu, the strawberry soju sunrise is my favorite. Sushi restaurant and lounge features Asian fusion dishes and sleek, club-like decor. – In Short Washed in red by overhead lamps and stained woods, the sleek décor bears a hip Asian feel. Expect an Asian fusion menu and artful sushi, including specialty rolls like the Tootsy Maki, Lone Star Roll and lotus-root-topped Viva Las Vegas. Enjoy a specialty cocktail or happy hour in the lounge.
I CRAVE Ra Sushi... – Ok, so the sushi at Ra is not at all Authentic, plus the wait staff is sooooo slow it gets on your nerves quickly (especially if you didn't order a Sake Bomb to soothe the pain). BUT there are two rolls that have me coming back for more - I love the Gojiro Roll and the Crunchy Shrimp Roll. Both are totally overpriced(along with everything else on the menu) but well worth it. Excellent service, generous portions and great atmosphere – I seriously eat at RA at least once a week. They have the freshest sushi and are generous with their quantities! Any roll with real crab meat will get me on board and they aren't shy about it. Whether you feel like going it alone, are on a date, or with a group of friends, this is definitely a great spot. BEST Sushi and Patios – We have been to almost all of the RA locations, and this one has got to be the best! The atmosphere was upbeat and kicking; the sushi was the freshest I have had in the Valley in a very long time. Their unique rolls kept me entertained with an impressive bite every time. I have a soft spot for Sake and their own personal brand is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who has a craving for sushi and fun.
Best in Phoenix area, awesome food – I really enjoyed eating here. The food was very good. The selection was amazing and we really enjoy chatting with the sushi chef. I would mention that this place does look kind of trendy but the atmosphere was very nice. I have had sushi at their Tucson location and it was good but the atmosphere here was really fun. Quality was very good and portion was way above average.
RA = really awful sushi – Why is it when I visit a big city (or vicinity), I have to try the sushi? I always swear never to eat seafood when I visit Phoenix. It has always been a bit sketchy - not fresh, poorly prepared, etc. Well, I broke down again while shopping at the Keirland Commons development in Scottdale and stopped in for lunch at RA Sushi Bar. Trendy, But Decent – RA is a little too Scottsdale trendy and hip for my tastes, but the decor is really cool. The prices and sushi are okay...I prefer Sushi Brokers on Scottsdale Road.
