We had a few major issues since we bought the house a couple of years ago. They installed the HVAC for my house. In the first year, vents got disconnected. To fix it they had to make several cuts to the wall. Later, the furnace was leaking gas. It is a new unit and it wasn't supposed to leak! We used R-Mech to check our furnace/AC system for several years and they were excellent. Since they were bought by Buckner, service is a rip-off.
These guys royally screwed us over. I could write a saga. It was a nightmare. In short, they replaced two of our three A/C systems. The minisplit system in our ADU works great. However, the new air handler they installed in the third floor attic of our main house ended up causing extraordinary water damage, which cost us an unbelievable headache, dozens of hours of time working as GC, and a month without our master bedroom. Do not do business with R-Mech! After messing around with them for a week and paying out over $1,000.00 in payments, they told us our 9-year old furnace needed to be replaced. NOT TRUE!. a technician from Dick Ray came out, diagnosed the problem and had the furnace running in less than 15 minutes. R-Mech made repeated trips to the house and replaced the thermostat and a major circuit board. Since we had already spent $1000.00, they offered to give us that as a credit for a new furnace, which would have cost around $5000.00. ... read more
