Best orthopedic foot ankle Dr I know as a nurse for 45 years from Miami to North The Florida
After receiving the runaround and a flip-off from another Orthopedic Surgeon regarding my Achilles Tendon pain, I luckily found my way to Dr. Toussaint. He diagnosed me with a Haglunds Deformity. During Surgery, he detached my Achilles, excised the H.D., re-attached my Achilles then detached the upper connection of my Achilles and moved it down 1/2" then re-attached it, so as to relieve the stress on the Tendon. Just finished a visit with Dr. Toussaint regarding my wife's heel fracture. She doesn't need him and that's a good thing. If I could give him 10 stars I would. In the few minutes I spent listening to him he showed a compassion, manner, and attention to the needs of the patient that were just pure excellence. If my wife did need surgery I would want him to do it. I can't really say enough good things about him and the time we spent there. Would Recommend!!
Ruptured my Achilles tendon and ended up at UF Health's Orthopedic Surgery and Sports medicine. He was professional and explained the procedures & situation I was in very clearly and concisely. The surgery was routine and I had no complications. I followed the PT protocol and 6 months post op. I'm nearly 100%. There is something to be said about a surgeon you only see twice; Once for the surgery and once for the follow up. Highly recommend!
