The R. E. Smith Co. had its humble beginnings in the late 60's in the garage of Williamsport resident Kermit Smith, where he repaired grills as a hobby-turned-business. Seeing the need for a parts outlet for the new gas grill industry, Kermit's company was the service source for north central Pennsylvania. Extremely poor service. Had scheduled appointments where the technician never showed up. Made repeated requests for service with no response. When they don't know what is wrong they will use the shotgun approach and replace items that likely don't need to be replaced or jury rig the system.
Great Company. Really knows his stuff! I just needed a chimney liner and he helped me lay the whole project out. Truly a pleasure to work with.
