I was rushed to hospital in Leesburg where I had a heart attack. Dr Cook did a triple by pass on me. I found him to be a very compassionate and caring doctor. He certainly saved my life and the scar he gave me from the surgery is now a thin ball point pen line. The follow ups with him were also caring and compassionate. He is a gentle, brilliant doctor who I will forever be grateful to. I cannot say enough good about him. Just love the man. He was a surgeon at Walter Reed before moving to Fl.
Dr Cook and Leesburg/Ocala Heart Institute very nearly cost me my life with a botched mitral valve replacement.They put in a valve that was too small which immediately ruptured after the initial surgery.I had severe shortness of breath and had to go back to the emergency room twice and needed a re do sternotomy 5 weeks later.The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville ended up saving my life.I was told by Dr Landolfo at the Mayo Clinic that "In another two weeks I would have been dead" The pain and suffering I had to endure from May 18,... read more
