I stopped by to drop off a DoorDash lunch order for the staff. I was immediately met with dirty looks from two of the baristas behind the counter. I stood there looking goofy for about 2 minutes expecting some sort of greeting or instructions until I just asked where to place it. Reading some of these other reviews makes me confirm I wasn’t crazy about how I felt about this interaction. But on a positive note, the store design is really nice.
Every barista at Quixotic can make a spectacular espresso drink. Many of their pastries are from my favorite TCs bakery, Patisserie 46. My only minor grips are that they changed the size of the cappuccino from 6oz to 8oz ( they still have a few of the correct size cups, if you ask for it) and they don’t order enough almond croissants. Sometimes I can’t get my favorite pastry as early as 9:30, and I wish they’d Serve the Public Good and order more.
