In spite of its Kailua location, this place manages to maintain a fairly low-key, local atmosphere. It serves all kinds of sandwiches, salads and fresh fish dishes; and it serves them till nearly midnight, which is noteworthy to any night owls coming in from the mainland. There are two dining rooms, the air-conditioned lounge and the Garden Lanai. Both are great places to kick back with a bottle of Budweiser or a Kona-brewed ale and a platter of hot, greasy fish-n-chips.

Try the Ono fish sandwich Cajun style.
Sample was great but fish and chips were pretty dry.
Ono here is not to be missed.
Ono fish and chips serves 2 nicely, add in the onion rings or slaw for added enjoyment. Great food.

The fish and chips is pretty good.... Enough for two to share. The lava flow was not so good.
