I had an appointment for annual blood work and had fasted as directed. This location has only one employee and he uploaded codes for the tests ordered and indicated one non-standard test needed code clarification, but he would contact the provider to get it sorted out. He never contacted my doc's office and he didn't pick up the phone when the doc's office called him. I walked-in at 9 am for a blood draw on 1/23/25. There were no other people in line waiting ahead of me and no other patients in the waiting room, except for the tech's boyfriend. After a few seconds, the tech opens the door, and ushers his boyfriend back and then after a minute maybe he exits the back room and leaves. Then, the tech opens the door and informs me that he is going on break and that I was welcome to come back in 20 minutes. They are always on time to be seeing parents.
This location at J st is appointment only. Staff is always friendly and professional. No wait time. Im never there more then 15 minutes including check in.
Although the Lab Technicians at Quest are great. Logging in to Quest's system is a horrific nightmare. In my recent visit, I just dropped by because the Quest Lab was just a couple of blocks from my Dr's office and it was definitely not a busy time of day. Yet after going through the motions of logging in, the Technician couldn't find any entry for me. I imagine if it had been a busy day, I could have killed a couple of hours waiting.
