It seems to be against Medicare policy to ask for payment before Medicare reviews the claim. Quest Diagnostic policy seems underhanded and unethical in asking for a Credit Card before service was rendered, they should know the policy of Medicare.
This office is horrible. The SAME tech, not once but TWICE has extorted payment (each time on separate visits). Be aware that if, you are an educated consumer as I am and compare EOBs to provider invoices, per Quest policy, you have 30 days to pay any balances (which is needed as we know how slow insurance companies can be). Quest techs are NOT ALLOWED to say until you pay your invoice or "prepay" a deposit they will not treat you!!!! Seamless experience. It was my best ever visit to Quest. Signing in has been improved and simplified. Personnel were both professional and friendly. Not a single complaint. Outstanding!
