Appointment was easy to make and all well scheduled to happen on time. Staff were very pleasant, welcoming and answered questions competently.
On the day of my appointment, I was scheduled for a blood test and had been instructed to fast. As a result, I had not eaten all day prior to the appointment, which was scheduled later in the day. When I was called back, the phlebotomist prepared me for the blood draw. Before inserting the needle, she asked me to read information on the testing tube for her because she stated she could not see it clearly. Why does it always take so long to process my paperwork when I visit? I have been a customer for some time now, I always have my lab order from my doctor and proof of insurance. Yet, I have to sit there for half an hour while the phlebotomist searches for information right in front of her or him. It is outrageous. Yesterday, two staff people were unable to find the NPI, which is right under the doctor's name (I know, because I examined a copy when I returned home). Get it together.
I pass a few Quest labs and Lab Corps, including one next door to my nephrogist's office, BUT I go to Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring every time (I am there often as a few of my doctors are monitoring different issues. Crystal, the new manager is a real sweetie and so kind and friendly plus very professional and so efficient. Her colleague Kay is also so pleasant and .makes one feel comfortable.
