I went to have bloodwork done a week before my doctor appointment. When I went to the doctor a week later, No results from my bloodwork. My Doctor's nurse called them and they said that my blood samples where found on a table not tested. They said that they don't know why the samples where not tested. The nurse told me that Quest would call and set up another appointment. They didn't call. I went to the lab at Memorial Hospital today. It was a pleasant experience.
Nightmare experience. I had to wait nearly 3.5 hours to get blood drawn, it took tech 1.5 hours to input my name & contact info & that of the ordering dr info even though I had given it to him written down when I got there, then they took blood & stuck through my vein! I was supposed to get a 48 hr turnaround max (most tests take minutes or even hours to do), & 2.5 weeks later my IVF dr got results which meant $5,000 worth of IVF drugs went unused & we could not do our cycle that month because lab results took too long. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour for a drug test. Name got called, computers are down and they can't even do the drug test. So why wernt we told when signing in that it was not going to be possible today? Wasted an hour for them to tell us to go to waterloo. Very angry.
Kathy is the best phlebotomist, very caring and an overall great person.
