I had a really good experience at Quest Labs. It took me a little bit to figure out exactly where it was since it’s inside the building (not in the hospital, I was a bit confused at first!). I don’t go to the city much, but once I parked near the hospital and walked over, it was easy enough to find. The walk wasn’t bad at all once I knew which building I needed. It is unfortunate that our insurance requires us to use Quest or they will not pay. The phlebotomists are not experienced. She hit a nerve, it felt like someone shocked my wrist. I am having a hard time using my hand now because it feels like I am getting shocked. Having to see my doctor now for something they caused. They honestly do not care about people and are rude. My employer gives us a perk Zero program where diagnostic and lab testing are free. Quest is one of the designated providers and this is my second time using their service. Both times I was in and out in a flash. I made my appointment online with many openings to choose from. The staff is pleasant and there was not a long wait time after checking in. My results are usually available to review online in less than 24 hours and a copy sent to my PCP.
I arrived at Quest at approximately 4:00 pm. The posted closing time for this location is 4:30 pm. I understand that 30 minutes before closing cuts it tight, but I don’t get off from work till 3:30pm. I did my absolute best to get there with sufficient time with my insurance card and lab orders from Doctor ready to try to be less of an inconvenience to them. I get it. I work in healthcare too.
