One of my favorite parks to run outside or take the dogs for a nice walk. I trained for my marathon here regularly running four or five loops around the perimeter. The trails through the woods are nice and maintained well. You’re usually walking on gravel or dirt in the woods. It’s a popular park so you are rarely alone in solitude unless you go at an off time. Another amazing St Louis County Park. Huge ADA accessible playground. Perfect Park!!
I went to walk the part paved part dirt/gravel loop trail. Have seen flock of wild turkeys, but none today.

The gravel hills, especially in the heat, add a solid challenge and a great place for a tough, rewarding run. The area is well kept and clean. There also seems to be plenty of other cool features around, though it’s hard to notice everything when I'm focused on running.
