Latoya (pardon me if I spelled her name incorrectly) has been nothing short of amazing. She was working at the pediatric department check-in desk and was very quick to respond to my concern regarding a medical examination form for my toddler that needed urgent attention. The only reason for the 4-star rating is because of the other lady sitting next to her, who showed little interest in helping me even though I had submitted the form a week ago. Be aware this is a teaching hospital. Just Before my operation I was given a form to sign. That form in the fine print contained a waiver allowing the hospital to substitute my surgeon with 25 years experience for a medical student. The medical student screwed up a simple hernia operation. My GP who’s familiar with the hospital says a common practice. The Surgeon Latong Du billed my insurance company as if he did the operation.
